The one thing I want you to know:

We cannot underestimate the power of play. Practice is powerful too. And when practice is infused with play it becomes a dance. A dance of possibility.

Play is the way. If you’re feeling demotivated, lacking joy, stuck or stagnant in your yoga or movement practice...if you desire to break through the confines of inflexible and outdated rules and fixed perspectives...if you’re beyond ready to break through to a refreshing place of increased capacity, adaptability, and resiliency, and develop your creativity and growth...if you pine to find a novel space of spontaneity and fun for yourself...

You are in the right place!

The community here was founded on the premise that within a playful approach to movement practice lies possibility, joy, and the potential for limitless learning.

My passion is sharing the joy of movement and ongoing learning through the power of deliberate and

Playful Practice!

For most of my life, I’ve been immersed in the study of movement: from athletics to dance and theater arts, movement science, yoga, and beyond. I earned a bachelor’s degree in theater and dance in college, worked professionally as a performer in NYC, and taught theater and movement in the NYC public schools and with inmates at Riker’s Island Correctional Facility. I studied Movement Analysis and received my CMA from the Laban Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NYC. I also spent decades studying Iyengar Yoga and earned a senior level teaching credential.

My experiences teaching of yoga and movement for over 30 years and leading workshops around the globe -- from Tokyo to Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires to Brussels--has informed my evolution away from the strict confines of a yoga lineage tradition and toward a multidisciplinary approach to yoga and movement that is informed by my ongoing studies in movement science and is inclusive of and infused with elements of somatic practices, strength-training, dance, and A LOT of PLAY.

Play is a powerfully profound experience.

It helps our brain and body develop as children and continues to help us adapt and thrive throughout our lifetime. Play helps bring joy to our ongoing learning endeavors, to the art and discipline of practice, it helps shift our perspective and see possibilities that we might not have imagined.

I am passionate about helping people rediscover the joy and power of play in movement practice, ongoing learning, and life.

I am an avid and continuous learner. Not only have I studied movement in depth for decades—and continue to do so through my studies in movement science and physical disciplines—but I spent many years in a yoga lineage tradition, one that personally taught me the limiting consequences of restrictive traditions and dogma, and the importance of evolving beyond the tradition while valuing much of its knowledge.

Through this experience, and through moving beyond it, I am intimately aware of the value of the paths I’ve travelled and share with others who seek similar breakthroughs in their practice.

Say yes to the possibility of play. Say yes to the joy of movement.

Say yes to the love of lifelong learning!
